My elementary school had a system like this, but without the RSG style t-bar. They also had a few Seimens UMMT's and some System Sensor Spectralert Advanceds. The strobes on the Faraday alarms were entireley frosted though, and had fire lettering on the front of the strobe too.

My old middle school used to have ummts and est Horn Strobes and simplex horn Strobes outside

my high school has delayed evacuation. Once the panel goes into alarm, we were told to wait. We then have to wait for a PA announcement for further instructions, whether if it's a drill, false alarm, real event, etc. For my votech, once the alarms sound, we immediately evacuate. No delay or anything.

To give context on smoke alarm horns. Some have mechanical squealer horns (mainly the ones from the 70s and early 80s) that have either a smooth pitch dc sound or a 60hz ac sound (it’s dual ac and dc in some models but used in one way), some have piezo horns either in a 5 6 (the coding you called march time) or in code 3

I just got two vintage BRK smoke alarms from the trash (i'm a street scrapper--wonder if you get those in your area) (77R and 76RS--the latter of which is branded by Smoke Alert, which is actually somewhat rare) this is actually a BRK 1839WI--@Photoelectric_Elevators knows a lot about these. that coding is actually called 4-6 rather than a marching code.
